HomeBase is founded in 2006 by Anat Litwin in Brooklyn, New York. As representatives of HomeBase Bas Kools and Anat Litwin spoke on the Wander Wonders Symposium #1.
HomeBase Project is an international site-specific residency and research program exploring the notion of home, operating in the intersection of contemporary art and social change. They inhabit vacant urban sites in changing neighborhoods with a group of international artists and social entrepreneurs, lead a unique residency program about home, create and research while living on- site, and transform the building into a vibrant cultural home which opens to the public with a full and free cultural/educational program.
