Shifting AiR Strategies was a cooperation with id11, Transartists/DutchCulture and Satellietgroup and was organized within the frameworks of: CreArt - Network of Cities for Artistic Creation and Mutual artist-in-residence Impulse Russia-Netherlands.
(born 1980, Bulgaria) received his BA at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia. Since his subsequent enrollment at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna where he obtained an MFA he has being developing an interdisciplinary practice with a conceptual approach.
My artistic practice is grounded in the aesthetics of existence. I am interested in life and its political substance. If today power operates on level of the body, then this is where it should be confronted. Assuming different social personas I link the personal to the political and the political to the poetic. My work involves different media borrowing visual references from 1970s conceptual art, mail art, cinema, book illustration, collections, text and language. Employing images and narratives that are embedded in the collective, cultural imagination I create new conditions for interpretation.
