Bristol Diving School

Apr-May 2013

Last dinner with BDS

Bristol Diving School (BDS) is an artists collective employing collaboration as both method and subject. Four members of BDS resided at Wander to refine their understanding of terms such as collaboration and collectivity. Their residency resulted in the development of the Proboscis-Extension-Reader: a website that functions as a platform for cumulative research and presents the information in a non-hierarchical way and Artstuff #1 in collaboration with Nest.

The four members of Bristol Diving School met with a team of experts: Janwillem Schrofer, Arno van Roosmalen, Maja Bekan / ADA, Basten Stokhuyzen, The Holls, Weronika Zielinska, Thijs Ebbe Fokkens, Lauren von Gogh among others.

Lauren von Gogh

Lauren is a visual artist and initiated the artist run platform Sober & Lonely Institute for Contemporary Art. As part of their residency, Bristol Diving School drove up to the north of Holland and visited KunsthuisSYB all the way in Beesterzwaag. Lauren von Gogh resided at Kunsthuis SYB, working on her project Sober&Lonely.
